Sensron. Fiber-based monitoring for critical infrastructure.
Sensron is a fiber optic sensing solution that detects vibrations along a fiber cable.
The fiber acts as a continuous sensor for monitoring critical infrastructure. A single Sensron DAS unit can monitor two fiber routes of up to 40 kilometers each, reducing the need for separate sensors along the infrastructure.
Applications for Sensron include:
Telecom and fiber networks
Sensron can detect excavation activity, fiber bending and fiber breaks before or as they affect the connection. This enables a faster response and more accurate fault location.
Data centers
Sensron can monitor fiber connections to and around the data center, detecting events such as excavation work, physical impact, fiber bending and fiber breaks. This provides early warning of incidents that could threaten connectivity and data center uptime.
The solution can also provide perimeter security around the data center by detecting activity such as people walking, vehicles, climbing and damage to fences.
Perimeter security
Along fences, walls and restricted areas, Sensron can detect climbing, damage, people walking, vehicles and excavation activity. The solution also operates in darkness and challenging weather conditions.
Railways
Sensron can be used to monitor railway lines and detect excavation work, cable theft, unauthorized persons, fiber breaks and movement along the track.
Defence and border areas
The solution can provide continuous monitoring of military sites, borders and other security-critical areas where conventional sensors or cameras do not provide sufficient coverage.
